Dominant groups
The size of the City of Merri-bek's Spanish speaking labour force in 2021 was 1,374 persons, of which 587 were employed part-time and 650 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) of Spanish speakers in the City of Merri-bek in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a similar proportion in employment, as well as a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 94.8% of the Spanish speaking labour force was employed, and 2.9% unemployed, compared with 94.7% and 2.7% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
