Analysis of the household/family types of Indonesian speakers in the City of Melville in 2021 compared to Australia shows that there was a higher proportion of Indonesian speakers in couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion in one-parent families. Overall, 64.4% of Indonesian speakers were in couple families with child(ren), and 10.3% were one-parent families, compared with 59.1% and 7.3% respectively for Australia.
There were a lower proportion of Indonesian speakers in lone person households and a lower proportion in couples without children.
