Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Brentwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (132 females or 26.2%)
  • Education and Training (72 females or 14.3%)
  • Retail Trade (49 females or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 253 females in total or 50.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Applecross employed 23.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.9% in Education and Training; and 8.5% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Brentwood and Applecross were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (14.3% compared to 10.9%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (26.2% compared to 23.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (8.2% compared to 11.8%)
