Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Palmyra in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (691 people or 17.0%)
  • Education and Training (525 people or 12.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (340 people or 8.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,556 people in total or 38.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Perth employed 14.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.8% in Education and Training; and 7.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Palmyra and Greater Perth were:
