Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in East Precinct in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (1,786 people or 33.4%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (713 people or 13.3%)
  • Managers (616 people or 11.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 3,115 people in total or 58.2% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Central Precinct employed 34.1% in Professionals; 12.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 14.4% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of East Precinct and Central Precinct were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (11.1% compared to 9.8%)
