In 2021, dwellings with 3 bedrooms were the most common for low income households in Manningham City Council.

The Number of Bedrooms in a dwelling is an indicator of the size of dwellings, and when combined with Dwelling Type information, provides insight into the role Manningham City Council plays in the housing market.

For low income households, affordability may be an issue, and it may be that households can only afford to occupy (rent or buy) relatively small dwellings. Dominant groups

Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for low income households in Manningham City Council in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a lower proportion of households in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a higher proportion in dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.

Overall, 20.9% of low income households were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less and 36.5% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 32.8% and 22.1% for Greater Melbourne respectively.

The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling for low income households in Manningham City Council and Greater Melbourne were:
