The size of Ruffey Ward's labour force in 2016 was 6,292, of which 2,062 were employed part-time and 3,550 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Ruffey Ward in 2016 compared to the City of Whitehorse shows that there was a similar proportion in employment, as well as a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.4% of the labour force was employed, and 6.6% unemployed, compared with 93.0% and 7.0% respectively for the City of Whitehorse.
