Dominant groups

The size of Manningham City Council's labour force aged 18 to 24 years in 2021 was 7,722 persons, of which 4,100 were employed part-time and 2,265 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status of people aged 18 to 24 years (as a percentage of the labour force) in Manningham City Council in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 90.6% of the labour force aged 18 to 24 years was employed and 9.4% unemployed, compared with 89.7% and 10.3% respectively for Greater Melbourne.

Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the population aged 18 to 24 years in Manningham City Council in 2021 shows that there was a higher proportion in the labour force (75.4%) compared with Greater Melbourne (73.5%).
