Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the population in Division 7 in 2021 compared to Division 6 shows that there was a similar proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of people with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 47.2% of the population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 43.4% had no qualifications, compared with 47.0% and 42.4% respectively for Division 6.

There were no major differences between Division 7 and Division 6 in 2021.

Emerging groups

The largest changes in the qualifications of the population in Division 7 between 2016 and 2021 were in those with:

  • Bachelor or Higher degrees (+801 persons)
  • No qualifications (-525 persons)
  • Vocational qualifications (+362 persons)
  • Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (+353 persons)
