Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Hillcrest in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (266 males or 17.0%)
  • Manufacturing (224 males or 14.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (202 males or 12.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 692 males in total or 44.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Loganholme employed 25.0% in Construction; 11.2% in Manufacturing; and 7.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Hillcrest and Loganholme were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (12.9% compared to 7.1%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (14.3% compared to 11.2%)
