In 2021, the largest age group in Division 11 was 10 to 14 year olds. The group that changed the most since 2016 was 25 to 29 year olds, increasing by 329 people.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Division 11 in 2021 compared to Moreton Bay shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 24.2% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 10.5% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 20.9% and 16.8% respectively for Moreton Bay.

The major differences between the male age structure of Division 11 and Moreton Bay were:

  • A smaller percentage of males aged 70 to 74 (3.3% compared to 4.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 75 to 79 (2.0% compared to 3.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 80 to 84 (0.8% compared to 2.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 65 to 69 (3.9% compared to 5.1%)

Emerging groups

From 2016 to 2021, Division 11's male population increased by 2,890 people (27.7%). This represents an average annual population change of 5.01% per year over the period.

The largest changes in male age structure in this area between 2016 and 2021 were in the age groups:

  • 25 to 29 (+329 males)
  • 0 to 4 (+281 males)
  • 20 to 24 (+250 males)
  • 30 to 34 (+230 males)
