Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Loddon Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (726 males or 44.3%)
  • Construction (156 males or 9.5%)
  • Manufacturing (143 males or 8.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,025 males in total or 62.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Regional VIC employed 9.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 17.2% in Construction; and 10.5% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Loddon Shire and Regional VIC were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (44.3% compared to 9.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in construction (9.5% compared to 17.2%)
