Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Prestons in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (869 females or 26.8%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (784 females or 24.2%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (453 females or 14.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,106 females in total or 64.9% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Cartwright employed 14.0% in Professionals; 16.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 25.7% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Prestons and Cartwright were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (26.8% compared to 14.0%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (24.2% compared to 16.7%)
