Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Prestons in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (480 males or 13.8%)
  • Construction (409 males or 11.7%)
  • Manufacturing (400 males or 11.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,289 males in total or 37.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Horningsea Park employed 13.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 13.8% in Construction; and 9.5% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Prestons and Horningsea Park were:
