Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Casula in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (430 males or 13.0%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (376 males or 11.4%)
  • Manufacturing (360 males or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,166 males in total or 35.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Horningsea Park employed 13.8% in Construction; 13.2% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 9.5% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Casula and Horningsea Park were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (6.3% compared to 4.8%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (10.9% compared to 9.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in accommodation and food services (5.5% compared to 7.4%)
