Overall, 45.2% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 14.1% were one-parent families, compared with 58.4% and 13.5% respectively for Prestons.
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 16.5% compared to 8.3% in Prestons while the proportion of couples without children was 17.6% compared to 15.2% in Prestons.
