Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Lithgow City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Mining (623 males or 14.5%)
  • Construction (526 males or 12.2%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (414 males or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,563 males in total or 36.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, New South Wales employed 1.6% in Mining; 14.1% in Construction; and 6.4% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Lithgow City and New South Wales were:
