Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Launceston in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (511 people or 30.2%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (243 people or 14.3%)
  • Managers (241 people or 14.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 995 people in total or 58.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Youngtown - Relbia employed 19.1% in Professionals; 13.0% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 12.1% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Launceston and Youngtown - Relbia were:
