Dominant groups
Analysis of the family blending in the Kempsey District in 2021 compared to Mid North Coast SA4 shows that there was a higher proportion of step families as well as a higher proportion of blended families. Overall, 14.2% of total couple families with children were step families, and 7.8% were blended families, compared with 11.9% and 5.2% respectively for Mid North Coast SA4.
