Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Central Ward in 2021 compared to Kinross shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 37.6% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.5% were one-parent families, compared with 44.1% and 11.6% respectively for Kinross.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 18.7% compared to 14.2% in Kinross while the proportion of couples without children was 28.5% compared to 25.9% in Kinross.
