Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the Inner West Council compared to St Peters - Sydenham shows that there was a similar proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 3.3% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 3.6% for St Peters - Sydenham.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Enmore and St Peters - Sydenham were:
- A larger percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (26.3% compared to 17.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 85 and over (50.0% compared to 66.1%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (35.0% compared to 45.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 60 to 64 (3.5% compared to 9.3%)
