Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rural Young - West in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (262 people or 37.6%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (64 people or 9.2%)
- Retail Trade (56 people or 8.0%)
In combination, these three industries employed 382 people in total or 54.8% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Regional NSW employed 5.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 16.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Rural Young - West and Regional NSW were:
