Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wilberforce in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (304 people or 19.8%)
  • Education and Training (156 people or 10.1%)
  • Retail Trade (140 people or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 600 people in total or 39.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Rural North employed 17.2% in Construction; 9.1% in Education and Training; and 5.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Wilberforce and Rural North were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in retail trade (9.1% compared to 5.7%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (19.8% compared to 17.2%)
