Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in South Windsor in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (268 females or 20.9%)
  • Retail Trade (167 females or 13.0%)
  • Education and Training (156 females or 12.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 591 females in total or 46.1% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 21.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.7% in Retail Trade; and 12.6% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of South Windsor and Greater Sydney were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (13.0% compared to 9.7%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in construction (5.5% compared to 2.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (4.4% compared to 10.1%)
