Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Gympie in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Labourers (652 people or 15.8%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (641 people or 15.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (616 people or 15.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,909 people in total or 46.4% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Gympie Regional Council area employed 14.8% in Labourers; 15.3% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 12.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Gympie and Gympie Regional Council area were:
