In Division 05, 57.2% of females aged over 15 years had completed Year 12 schooling (or equivalent) as of 2021. This was less than Hope Island.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the highest level of schooling attained by the female population in Division 05 in 2021 compared to Hope Island shows that there was a higher proportion of females who had left school at an early level (Year 10 or less) and a lower proportion of females who completed Year 12 or equivalent.

Overall, 29.9% of the female population left school at Year 10 or below, and 57.2% went on to complete Year 12 or equivalent, compared with 27.6% and 57.8% respectively for Hope Island.

The major difference between the level of schooling attained by the female population in Division 05 and Hope Island was:

  • A larger percentage of females who completed year 9 or equivalent (5.0% compared to 3.8%)
