Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Division 10 in 2021 compared to Gold Coast City shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), as well as a lower proportion of females with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 52.6% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 32.9% had no qualifications, compared with 54.2% and 36.3% respectively for Gold Coast City.

The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Division 10 and Gold Coast City were:

  • A larger percentage of females with Bachelor or Higher degrees (27.3% compared to 24.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of females with Vocational qualifications (12.9% compared to 16.7%)
