Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the population in Division 14 in 2021 compared to Division 13 shows that there was a lower proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of people with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 57.0% of the population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 33.5% had no qualifications, compared with 57.6% and 32.9% respectively for Division 13.

The major difference between the qualifications held by the population of Division 14 and Division 13 is:

  • A smaller percentage of persons with Bachelor or Higher degrees (22.8% compared to 24.0%)

The largest changes in the qualifications of the population in Division 14 between 2016 and 2021 were in those with:

  • Bachelor or Higher degrees (+2,335 persons)
  • Vocational qualifications (+606 persons)
