Analysis of the car ownership of people born overseas in Gold Coast City in 2021 compared to the total population in Gold Coast City shows that 95.2% of people born overseas were in households that owned at least one car, while 3.7% did not, compared with 91.9% and 2.7% respectively in the total population in Gold Coast City.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion that owned just one car; a similar proportion owned two cars; and a smaller proportion that owned three cars or more.
Overall, 29.4% of people born overseas were in households that owned one car; 41.0% owned two cars; and 24.8% owned three cars or more, compared with 24.4%; 41.0% and 26.5% respectively for the total population in Gold Coast City.
