Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Ashmore in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (1,239 people or 21.4%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (823 people or 14.2%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (799 people or 13.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,861 people in total or 49.4% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Main Beach employed 26.9% in Professionals; 7.8% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 13.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
