Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Coombabah in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (536 females or 25.4%)
  • Retail Trade (262 females or 12.4%)
  • Education and Training (247 females or 11.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,045 females in total or 49.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Gold Coast City employed 23.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.0% in Retail Trade; and 12.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Coombabah and Gold Coast City were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (25.4% compared to 23.2%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in administrative and support services (5.5% compared to 4.3%)
