Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Varsity Lakes in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (676 males or 16.3%)
  • Retail Trade (392 males or 9.5%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (371 males or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,439 males in total or 34.8% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Ashmore employed 19.4% in Construction; 8.6% in Retail Trade; and 8.8% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Varsity Lakes and Ashmore were:
