Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Coomera in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (958 males or 19.3%)
  • Manufacturing (493 males or 9.9%)
  • Retail Trade (488 males or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,939 males in total or 39.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Ashmore employed 19.4% in Construction; 6.2% in Manufacturing; and 8.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Coomera and Ashmore were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (9.9% compared to 6.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in accommodation and food services (7.0% compared to 8.8%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in education and training (3.3% compared to 4.9%)
