Analysis of the household/family types in Main Beach in 2021 compared to Division 10 shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 9.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 5.1% were one-parent families, compared with 13.3% and 6.5% respectively for Division 10.
There were a similar proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 30.4% compared to 30.7% in Division 10 while the proportion of couples without children was 34.7% compared to 28.2% in Division 10.
