Analysis of the household/family types in Varsity Lakes in 2021 compared to Main Beach shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 27.9% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 14.3% were one-parent families, compared with 9.7% and 5.1% respectively for Main Beach.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 23.1% compared to 30.4% in Main Beach while the proportion of couples without children was 23.1% compared to 34.7% in Main Beach.
