Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Hope Island in 2021 compared to Nerang - Mount Nathan shows that there was a lower proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 13.2% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 28.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 20.0% and 17.0% respectively for Nerang - Mount Nathan.
