In 2021, the largest age group in Division 13 was 30 to 34 year olds. The group that changed the most since 2006 was 25 to 29 year olds, increasing by 457 people.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the female five year age groups of Division 13 in 2021 compared to Coombabah shows that there was a higher proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 14.8% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 21.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 12.6% and 34.8% respectively for Coombabah.

The major differences between the female age structure of Division 13 and Coombabah were:

  • A larger percentage of females aged 25 to 29 (7.2% compared to 4.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (3.8% compared to 7.8%)
  • A smaller percentage of females aged 70 to 74 (5.7% compared to 8.8%)
  • A smaller percentage of females aged 80 to 84 (2.7% compared to 5.2%)

Emerging groups

From 2006 to 2021, Division 13's female population increased by 2,046 people (11.2%). This represents an average annual population change of 0.71% per year over the period.

The largest changes in female age structure in this area between 2006 and 2021 were in the age groups:

  • 25 to 29 (+457 females)
  • 30 to 34 (+318 females)
  • 35 to 39 (+292 females)
  • 65 to 69 (+276 females)
