Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Ashmore in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (4,895 people or 39.4%)
- Australian (3,536 people or 28.5%)
- Irish (1,319 people or 10.6%)
- Scottish (1,246 people or 10.0%)
- German (577 people or 4.6%)
