Dominant groups

Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Gold Coast City in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

  • English (223,775 people or 40.3%)
  • Australian (171,566 people or 30.9%)
  • Irish (62,702 people or 11.3%)
  • Scottish (56,822 people or 10.2%)
