Dominant groups
Analysis of the weekly housing rental payments of households in Glenelg Shire compared to Regional VIC shows that there was a smaller proportion of households paying high rental payments ($450 per week or more), and a larger proportion of households with low rental payments (less than $250 per week).
Overall, 2.7% of households were paying high rental payments, and 52.9% were paying low payments, compared with 8.1% and 33.3% respectively in Regional VIC.
The major differences between the housing rental payments of Glenelg Shire and Regional VIC were:
- A larger percentage of $150-$199 (18.1% compared to 9.3%)
- A larger percentage of $100-$149 (12.8% compared to 7.9%)
- A larger percentage of $200-$249 (18.4% compared to 13.5%)
