Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Newtown in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (1,030 people or 19.2%)
- Education and Training (647 people or 12.1%)
- Retail Trade (540 people or 10.1%)
In combination, these three industries employed 2,217 people in total or 41.3% of the total employed resident population.
