Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Leopold in 2021 compared to Ocean Grove shows that there was a similar proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 30.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.2% were one-parent families, compared with 30.9% and 8.5% respectively for Ocean Grove.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 23.2% compared to 22.0% in Ocean Grove while the proportion of couples without children was 29.4% compared to 31.0% in Ocean Grove.
