Analysis of the household/family types in Central Geelong in 2021 compared to Curlewis shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 7.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 4.1% were one-parent families, compared with 33.9% and 13.5% respectively for Curlewis.
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 41.1% compared to 15.2% in Curlewis while the proportion of couples without children was 24.6% compared to 31.4% in Curlewis.
