Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Surf Coast Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (3,060 females or 33.2%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,548 females or 16.8%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (1,433 females or 15.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 6,041 females in total or 65.6% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Greater Geelong employed 27.4% in Professionals; 17.5% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 19.6% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
