Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Surf Coast Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,075 males or 21.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (818 males or 8.5%)
  • Retail Trade (681 males or 7.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,574 males in total or 37.3% of the total employed male resident population.
