Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in G21 Region in 2021 compared to the Borough of Queenscliffe shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 28.2% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.0% were one-parent families, compared with 15.3% and 4.9% respectively for the Borough of Queenscliffe.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 25.4% compared to 29.1% in the Borough of Queenscliffe while the proportion of couples without children was 27.2% compared to 36.2% in the Borough of Queenscliffe.
