Dominant groups
Analysis of the unpaid child care provided by people aged 55 to 64 years in Frankston City in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a higher proportion of people who provided unpaid child care either to their own or to other children. Overall, 17.6% of the population aged 55 to 64 years provided unpaid child care, compared with 16.6% for Greater Melbourne.
The major differences between the share of people aged 55 to 64 years providing unpaid child care in Frankston City and Greater Melbourne were:
