Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Federation Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Manufacturing (795 people or 14.5%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (685 people or 12.5%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (675 people or 12.4%)
In combination, these three industries employed 2,155 people in total or 39.4% of the total employed resident population.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Federation Council area and Regional NSW were:

- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (-143 persons)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+136 persons)
- Construction (+97 persons)
