Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Federation Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (795 people or 14.5%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (685 people or 12.5%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (675 people or 12.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,155 people in total or 39.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 5.6% in Manufacturing; 5.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 16.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Federation Council area and Regional NSW were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (14.5% compared to 5.6%)
