Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Howlong in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (199 people or 15.5%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (170 people or 13.2%)
  • Construction (142 people or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 511 people in total or 39.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 5.6% in Manufacturing; 16.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.4% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Howlong and Regional NSW were:
