Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Fairfield in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (456 females or 22.5%)
  • Retail Trade (253 females or 12.5%)
  • Manufacturing (159 females or 7.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 868 females in total or 42.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Canley Heights employed 16.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.9% in Retail Trade; and 12.2% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Fairfield and Canley Heights were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (22.5% compared to 16.4%)
